Our Story
SafeBuild Canada was founded by Terrance Leacock, a construction professional with 30 years of experience. He started as an oil sands equipment operator and foreman, then moved into project management in Toronto’s oil & gas sector, working with Esso, Husky, and CN Cargoflo.
Terrance started this site because he saw a critical gap between safety regulations and what actually happens on site. SafeBuild Canada is newly launched, with a clear goal: turn proven jobsite experience into practical guidance crews can use today, and build a trusted national standard for safety awareness across all ten provinces and three territories.
Today, Terrance is a Site Superintendent at Rutherford Contracting and holds NCSO certification. He is a trusted advisor on some of Canada's largest infrastructure projects, helping teams improve compliance, planning, and day-to-day execution so more people go home safe at the end of every shift.
